Greetings on a beautiful summer morning. Here in the Pacific Northwest we’re in the midst of summer’s glory. My little urban garden is filled with color and sound. The blueberries are ripening, bees are dancing in the ballota, and bird song fills the air.
Speaking of birds, the baby junkos just emerged this morning from their nest in the fuschia basket near my front door. Their sweet chirps are filling the air, along with their parents’ encouragement as their babies flit through the garden finding seeds and bugs and trying out their wings.

Nature’s overflowing abundance of beauty and joyful vitality is the best antidote I know to the intensity and stress of the world’s uncertainty.
Like everyone, I have moments of fatigue. My morning garden visits remind me again and again how important it is to feel good, and how natural it is to use my focus in the moment to feel better by simply accessing joy.
Joy is a natural expression of Source energy. Joy is the energy of life. It nourishes us. Joy flows through us in music, laughter and song, the light in our eyes, and the feelings of playfulness and ease.
Our Spirits reside in the energy of joy. Joy makes us whole. Joy gives rise to the knowingness of well being, serenity, and Presence. In fact, Dr. Hawkins who developed the Map of Consciousness (Power vs Force) found that the frequency of Joy is what enables all lasting healing.
Joy is who we are. Joy is the natural frequency of life. It’s not an illusion, or a future destination, or a fantasy pipe-dream. Joy is here now, flowing like water in the music of the birds, the dancing blossoms of the flowers, and the playful laughter of a child.
In our rapidly changing world it can be easy to feel discouraged, tired and fatigued. It’s important to remember, always, that we hold the power within to return to joy and create what we desire. Rumi said it beautifully:
Today, like every other day, we wake up tired and afraid.
Don’t open the door to the study and begin reading.
Take down a musical instrument.
Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and
kiss the ground.
~ Rumi
Every moment holds the opportunity for new creation. Your Spirit is only here and now. Feeling good begins with a breath and returning our focus within.
Open the door. Step outside and soak in the Sun. All of nature is alive and flowering. Joy is here. Now.
What can you do today, in this moment, to put out the welcome mat for Joy? There are a hundred ways to kneel and kiss the ground.
Here’s to the Beauty of what you do:)
Love,
Beth
